This is my first Chief Inspector Armand Gamache novel and I really enjoyed it. I think that my first introduction to this character being an audio book really worked out well for me. The narration by Robert Bathurst was perfect and as I got to know the character I realized he was the best choice. He really brought me into the story more. All the Devils Are Here (love the title by the way) felt like a good old fashioned mystery but with a hard edge that I really enjoyed. I loved the way Paris was captured here and I enjoyed the thriller aspects added to up the excitement a bit more. I love a good cozy mystery but really enjoy a good thriller as well.  I plan to read all of the previous novels now that I have been introduced to Armand Gamache . He is a very interesting character.  I would like to thank Netgalley and the publishers for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review 3.25 out of 5 stars Ellie is turning 40 and the best thing to do is to have the most fabulous birthday party that a woman can have.  Told with alternating timelines, the past which takes place 24 years ago and the present.  In the past we meet best friends Leo and Mish who are ready to celebrate Leo's sweet 16.  Let's just say that things just didn't  go as planned. The present timeline is about Ellie, her fabulous party. Ellie feels like she needs to have THE party, the kind of party that makes all of her friends green with envy. While I did enjoy this novel and Melissa de la Cruz has a wonderful writing style but I didn't feel like this is much of a thriller. It felt more like an adult contemporary with some mystery thrown in for good measure. If you are looking for a good adult contemporary then pick this up!

Am I the only one who loves listening to audio books as a way to relax? For me there is nothing more calming then listening to a good audio book and doing other things like crocheting to feel myself completely relax. What makes that even better? When the book is great and the narrators are super awesome!  Bailey Carr; January LaVoy; Samantha Desz are great narrators that really captured the feel of the novel and the mood of the characters.  The actual story was really awesome as well. I read a really good book by Megan Goldin  (The Escape Room) last year and was blown away by it. I have to say I enjoyed The Night Swim a bit more which surprised  me! I think one of the things I liked so much about this is we followed a true crime podcaster as she decided to dedicate her latest season to a rape trial. ...

4.5 out of 5 stars I would like to thank Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for allowing  to read an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. I believe this is my first  Michele Campbell novel and I didn't know what to expect but it turned out to be a really good, fun and twisty thriller. I will admit that at first I did not like Tabitha but that was before we really got to know her. She ended up being a very interesting character. I always enjoy watching characters navigate the wealthy and powerful world after living in the "outside" their whole lives. Each character tends to have their own way of trying to fit in. The mystery was well written and I really cared about Nina and felt for her in a lot of ways. The setting was pretty awesome and this held my interest very well. 5 out of 5 stars Megan McCafferty is definitely a fun read! It's the early 90's and Cassie Worthy is super excited to spend the Summer working with her boyfriend in the Mall with her boyfriend. She is finally over the Mono that kept her locked in her house for months on end so she is determined to have a blast. Well, this read like a teen comedy from that era so we know that things do not go as planned!! As Cassie deals with her teen world falling apart she begins to realize that sometimes things end for a reason and there is often something or someone better out there for you.  If you love the 90's you will love this. This is a fun, Summer must read!

Audio has become my favorite medium and I listen to tons of audio books and I have heard a lot of narrators, some bad some god but these narrators were fantastic! Richard Armitage and Stephanie Racine did a really good job of introducing you to the characters and of making you care about them. I also want to say the this audio book was packaged really well. You hear the POV of Anna, Jack and the killer and the killer's voice is masked the whole time. Super awesome! 4 out of 5 stars I received an ARC of Playing Nice in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher. One afternoon shortly after Pete returns  home from dropping off his toddler at daycare there is a knock on the door. Standing there are two men telling him that his son is not really his son. He is told that his son Theo who was born premature is not his. They show him all evidence. To say Pete was shocked is an understatement. As soon as they leave he calls his partner Maddie and tells her what is going on. As Maddie and Pete try to work with the other set of parents things seem to be going well, until they stop. Before they know it they are living a walking nightmare. I will say that at first I totally thought this was going to be predictable  thriller but the ending blew me away! Pick this one up!
