~*No One's Home by D.M. Pulley*~

5 out of 5  Thank you to Netgalley and Thomas & Mercer for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review. I first found D.M. Pulley back in 2014 when I found The Dead Key on Amazon as a Amazon Unlimited offer and I was immediately impressed. The Dead Key was in my top five books of that year as it was such a different type of book. When I saw that this book was up for an advanced read I know I had to read it and I am so glad that I did! If you are looking for a good, haunted house book just in time for spooky season (which for me starts in the middle of August because I am that obsessed with Autumn and Halloween!) Then this book is for you! If I had the time to binge this book in one day I would have. As it is I did finish it in two! There is something about Rawlingswood Manor that captivates potential buyers so much they feel that they must have it. Built in Shaker Heights in 1922 for the Rawlings family who became the first victims ...

~*What Happened That Night by Deanna Cameron*~

4 out of five stars I would like to thank Netgalley and Wattpad Books for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. For as long as Clara cab remember she has had a crush on the boy next door Griffin Tomlin. When he finally notices her she can't believe her luck.  Then one Winter night during a party things change completely.  Clara begins to withdraw into herself, doing her best to stay away from Griffin. One early September, the day after the neighborhood Labor Day party Griffin is found dead and Clara's sister Emily is accused of his murder. Clara knows why she did it but she can't tell anyone the reason. When Clara meets Aniston who is determined to find out why Emily killed Griffin truly dark  secrets begin to come out and Clara begins to wonder if life will ever feel normal again. This is a dark story that covers some hard hitting topics. I read this very fast because I wanted to find out what happened to Clara and he...

~*The Thinnest Air by Minka Kent *~

4.75 stars After reading "The Memory Keeper" I became a huge fan of Minka Kent. I had purchased her second novel "The Perfect Roommate" right as it was released and when this novel was released I knew I had to pick it up. It took me a while to read this as I have been busy reading a lot of ARCs. I finally purchased the audio version and listened to it all of last week. Once again I am very impressed.  We meet the lovely Meredith Price who considers herself to be such a lucky girl. We meet her on her honeymoon as she basks in the glow of complete happiness. She is married to handsome, successful Andrew Price. He also happens to be a lot older than her. Things continue to go well for her as the happy couple settles into their home in a wealthy town in Utah. Boredom begins to set in though as Meredith gets tired of being a wealthy housewife.  One day Meredith goes missing outside of a supermarket. Her sister Greer drops everything to leave New York and find her si...

~*Final Girls by Riley Sager*~

5 out of 5 stars Quincy Carpenter is a member of a very exclusive club, she is a final girl. There are three girls that are members of this club and to be one you must be the lone survivor of a mass murder. Quincy managed to survive the Pine Cottage Killings ten years ago back when she was in college. She thinks she has her life together now, a live in lawyer boyfriend, a successful baking blog and a lovely apartment in NYC. Sure, she also happens to drink too much wine and she depends on Xanax a little bit too much.  The life that Quincy thinks she has starts to fall apart after she finds out that the original Final Girl Lisa is found dead and the only other Final Girl Sam shows up on her doorstep.  I loved this book. It totally read like a horror film. There were many good twists and turns some I completely saw coming and some that did come as a surprise. The biggest weakness was the fact that Quincy was so easily influenced. That is something that I would have expecte...

~*Watching You by Lisa Jewell *~

First off I would like to thank Netgalley and Atria Books for allowing me to read an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I have heard of Lisa Jewell but have never read any of her books. Well, that is going to change because I truly enjoyed this novel!  We first meet newlywed Joey shortly after she and her new husband Alfie has moved from Ibiza to Melville Heights to live with her older brother and his pregnant wife Rebecca. Joey finds herself almost immediately attracted to Tom  Fitzwiiliam a middle aged married man whom she first sees with his wife Nicola and son Freddie as they get out of their car. Though ordinary by most standards there is something so charismatic about Tom Joey finds herself crushing on him without even saying a word.  The story switches from three POVs and police interviews after a murder has taken place, flashing back to a few months prior to the crime. Joey's story, Freddie's story and one of Tom  Fitzwi...
