~*The Rumor by Leslie Kara *~

5 out of 5 stars! First off I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher Ballantine books for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this novel in exchanged for an honest review. Jo isn't the type of woman who spreads rumors. Well, at least not normally but then again a woman will do anything to help her child to fit in and belong! You see, she hears a little rumor and though she has no desire to mention it to anyone she lets the rumor slip at a book club.  It seems that there may be a child killer in their midst. A woman named Sally stabbed little Robby Harris when she was a child. She has been released for years and living under an assumed name. It seems she MAY have settled in their little town! Though Jo promises herself that she will not mention it again. It is a promise she plans to keep until she   finds out her son Alfie who was once bullied in the city they lived in before she moved to the small town to be hear her Mom and to save Alfie from bullying is...

~*The Last Thing She Remembers by JS Monroe*~

5 out of 5 stars I am a sucker for a good lost memories/amnesia thrillers and this was totally right up my alley. Tony and Laura are going about their normal day when a young woman appears at their door. She has no memory of who she is, of where she is from but she knows she belongs in their house. All she knows is that she got off of a flight from Berlin but she doesn't have her luggage, purse or ID. She can however tell them in detail the layout plan of the house. Just as Tony is about to shut the door in the girt's face she collapses. After bringing the girl in they feel as if they should look out for her. They bring her in and try and take care of her. Laura decides to call her friend who happens to be a GP. Tony meanwhile gives the girl a name, he decides to call her Jemma with a J. They invite her to stay the night in hopes that she will wake up in the morning and remember who she is. From there the story starts rolling! It is hard to give this fantastic, twisty nov...

~*The Night Before by Wendy Walker*~

5.5 Stars First off I would like to thank Net Galley and St.Martins Press for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the first novel that I have read by Wendy Walker and I really, really enjoyed this book!  Just twelve hours ago Laura was excited to be going on a date with a man she met on the dating app Findlove.com. Johnathan Fields seems like a pretty perfect match for her, handsome, intelligent and nice. Now she is missing and her sister Rosie is determined to find her before it's too late. Told in three perspectives Laura's first person starting twelve hours ago and working slowly the towards present. Rosie's third person starting from the moment she realizes that Laura is missing and notes from Laura's session with her psychiatrist. The novel hooked me from the start. I must say that the Laura parts of this book read like a play to me. I could picture every scene between Laura and Johnathon as if it was o...

~*The Thinnest Air by Minka Kent *~

4.75 stars After reading "The Memory Keeper" I became a huge fan of Minka Kent. I had purchased her second novel "The Perfect Roommate" right as it was released and when this novel was released I knew I had to pick it up. It took me a while to read this as I have been busy reading a lot of ARCs. I finally purchased the audio version and listened to it all of last week. Once again I am very impressed.  We meet the lovely Meredith Price who considers herself to be such a lucky girl. We meet her on her honeymoon as she basks in the glow of complete happiness. She is married to handsome, successful Andrew Price. He also happens to be a lot older than her. Things continue to go well for her as the happy couple settles into their home in a wealthy town in Utah. Boredom begins to set in though as Meredith gets tired of being a wealthy housewife.  One day Meredith goes missing outside of a supermarket. Her sister Greer drops everything to leave New York and find her si...

~*Jane Doe by Victoria Helen Stone*~

5 out of 5 stars! Sooooo good! Who would have thought I would have so gleefully rooted for a sociopath? Then again this book may have you questioning who the real sociopath is. We meet Jane, a self-diagnosed sociopath who goes to Minneapolis on a mission, a mission of revenge for her best friend Meg's suicide. There is one person she holds responsible for Meg's death and that is Steven. Steven is extremely religious, selfish, homophobic and chauvinist. He loves nothing more than preying upon sweet, insecure, weak women. Jane knows exactly how to catch Steven's eye, she will become one of those women. Changing her name, the way she looks and basically her whole personality she gets a job where he works and immediately catches his eye. Her plan is now in motion. Told in first person we hear Jane's story as she goes about playing with Steven like a cat with a mouse. Jane is funny, smart and so easy to root for.  Each and every word she speaks will lure you in deeper an...
