~*What Kind of Girl by Alyssa B. Sheinmel *~

Thanks to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Fire  I thought that the first part of this novel took a really interesting and unique approach. It is told through different POVs with no names so you may be following The Girlfriend, The Popular Girl, The Burn Out and so on. That really pulled me into the story.  "What Kind of Girl" tackles some very hard topics and does a pretty good job with most of them.  This is kind of a hard book to review without giving too much away so I will try my best to just discuss the main story which is really the lynch pin of the book anyway. One Spring morning a teen girl goes to the principal to report that her boyfriend has been abusing her. She is embarrassed and confused. She doesn't know what to do but she remembered as a kid that you were supposed to tell someone if you were being hurt.  Eventually we do actually find out who is is and I think it actually came at the proper time in the book for me.
