 I received an ARC of Playing Nice in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher.

 One afternoon shortly after Pete returns  home from dropping off his toddler at daycare there is a knock on the door. Standing there are two men telling him that his son is not really his son. He is told that his son Theo who was born premature is not his. They show him all evidence. To say Pete was shocked is an understatement. As soon as they leave he calls his partner Maddie and tells her what is going on. As Maddie and Pete try to work with the other set of parents things seem to be going well, until they stop. Before they know it they are living a walking nightmare. I will say that at first I totally thought this was going to be predictable  thriller but the ending blew me away! Pick this one up!

4.5 stars Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher Cornerstone Digital for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this novel for an honest review. Pre World War 1 Europe and the Goldbaum family are an extremely wealthy banking dynasty. Greta Goldbaum from Vienna does not really want to marry her English cousin Albert she does it anyway as that is what is expected and though Greta is a defiant girl she also knows that the sometimes you have to do what is expected. Greta is a fun, gregarious girl while Albert is a serious and quiet man. This novel takes us up through most of World War 1 and we follow the family through it all. With the war brewing we see how anti semitism began to take control of certain parts of Europe. A sweeping tale with Greta at the center this was a novel that I could not put down and though it was a bit long I managed to read it in 24 hours. When Ally arrives at work without her purse and wet from the rain her boss is shocked to see her. Why? She hasn't worked there in ages. After Ally goes to the hospital she is told that she is experiencing a dissociative fugue state. Now she must work to figure out what is causing this and what her triggers are. As she begins to search for her missing she finds out that she has been missing for two days and when she asks her husband why he didn't tell the doctors when he went to pick her up his excuse seems a bit odd to her. Will Ally be able to solve the mystery behind what is going on with her before it is too late?  Pick up this fun thriller! It is a great way to spend a day or two!
