Carla Black doesn't believe in commitments of any kind. The motto she was raised with is "Here for a good time, not for a long time". After her Mother left Carla and her Dad enjoyed many  camping trips and Carla decided her life would basically one long camping trip as an adult. With her trusty vintage Jeep Wrangler she has travelled everywhere. When her best friend tells her that she is getting married in Dublin Carla heads on out not knowing that her life would never be the same. Enter Eamon, the groom's brother and an unexpected road trip.

I enjoyed this so much. I laughed and cried and just had so much fun joining Carla and Eamon on their trip. The narrator Sarah Naughton was great. They did a wonderful job with the different character voices and accents.

4.5 stars Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher Cornerstone Digital for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this novel for an honest review. Pre World War 1 Europe and the Goldbaum family are an extremely wealthy banking dynasty. Greta Goldbaum from Vienna does not really want to marry her English cousin Albert she does it anyway as that is what is expected and though Greta is a defiant girl she also knows that the sometimes you have to do what is expected. Greta is a fun, gregarious girl while Albert is a serious and quiet man. This novel takes us up through most of World War 1 and we follow the family through it all. With the war brewing we see how anti semitism began to take control of certain parts of Europe. A sweeping tale with Greta at the center this was a novel that I could not put down and though it was a bit long I managed to read it in 24 hours. When Ally arrives at work without her purse and wet from the rain her boss is shocked to see her. Why? She hasn't worked there in ages. After Ally goes to the hospital she is told that she is experiencing a dissociative fugue state. Now she must work to figure out what is causing this and what her triggers are. As she begins to search for her missing she finds out that she has been missing for two days and when she asks her husband why he didn't tell the doctors when he went to pick her up his excuse seems a bit odd to her.
