Hi! You can call me  Persephone & welcome to my little corner of the internet where we can discuss two of my very favorite things, books & make up! I have a hard time finding a genre of books that I do not enjoy. My love of make up has begun to rival my love of books and my collections of both are growing fast!
I am a proud net-galley reader & I love physical,audio and e-books. At the moment I read more e-books because I have run out of room  store my physical books!
I live in Michigan with my sweetie & my fur babies, two kitties (Boo and Frostbite)and Gigi the cutest Jackabee to ever exist on the planet. My other loves? Autumn,Halloween movies new and old and TV.  Come & Join me & hopefully we can become friends!

4.5 stars Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher Cornerstone Digital for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this novel for an honest review. Pre World War 1 Europe and the Goldbaum family are an extremely wealthy banking dynasty. Greta Goldbaum from Vienna does not really want to marry her English cousin Albert she does it anyway as that is what is expected and though Greta is a defiant girl she also knows that the sometimes you have to do what is expected. Greta is a fun, gregarious girl while Albert is a serious and quiet man. This novel takes us up through most of World War 1 and we follow the family through it all. With the war brewing we see how anti semitism began to take control of certain parts of Europe. A sweeping tale with Greta at the center this was a novel that I could not put down and though it was a bit long I managed to read it in 24 hours.
