Make Up Reading

 5 out of 5 stars This was a really fun mystery/thriller  and it has been a long time since I read a good mystery. I have been reading a lot of fantasy novellas and this really hit at the right time.  There is nothing better than a good toxic friendship and two time lines to keep me entertained. I read Too Good to be True by Lovering and I really enjoyed it and this was just as good. The narrators Helen Laser and Karissa Vacker did a great job voicing Billie and Cassie. I will say that I found myself kind of more on Billie's side.

 5 out of 5 stars This was a really well written mystery set in the town of Graybridge which I would love to revisit. Only after reading this did I find out that this was not the first book that has featured Detective Rita Myers whom I really found enjoyable. I will be reading All the Dark Places. I also really enjoyed the two POVs of Rita and Esme and the narrators  Christina Moore and Leah Horowitz  were amazing. I enjoyed the mystery and kind of loved that Esme used to be a ballerina. 

4.5 out of 5 stars Thank you for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.  Teddy's older sister Angie snuck out to go to a party one night and never returned. Her whole life became all about her missing sister no matter how hard she tried to move on Teddy never really could. This really felt a lot like Sadie by Courtney Summers in that sad melancholy way.  

 4 out of 5 stars I was given this arc in exchange for an honest review. I am not sure I have ever read a Rachel Hawkins book but I do know that there have been a few I have wanted to read. This really interested me.  I love the idea of a family matriarch being a mystery where the secrets are slowly revealed. The story was good and the narration by Dan Bittner, Eliza Foss, Patti Murin and John Pirhalla was excellent. I did knock off one star just because it felt so much like The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo with murder. This was still a really fun rad and I would suggest this for a Summer beach read.

 5 out of 5 stars Thank you to Macmillan Audio and Netgalley for allowing me to read this great novel.  I really, really loved this book. This had everything I love in a story. There is mythology, romance, friendship and love.  Tirne has the great honor of escorting the God of Autumn to for his three month stay until Winter makes her entrance. As they walk through the mirror it breaks which begins the long Autumn. Tirne herself is suspected of causing the break. I don't want to go too deep into what happens but let me just say that this is great. The world building  is fantastic. 

 5 out of 5 stars As soon as I finished book in the series (Beneath Her Skin) I jumped right into this the very same night because I couldn't wait to read more! Another great story set in Port Gamble. I found myself liking this story just as much if not a little bit more than the last book. I have enjoyed finding out more about the twins and their powers. I really do enjoy all the characters different points of view. This mystery was just as good and there was actually a pretty big surprise when it comes to a certain character. I did figure out who the murderer was but the fun was in the story and seeing how these character's minds work. Another fantastic narration by Karen Peakes. 

 5 out of 5 stars Thank you to Netgalley and Bookoutre  for allowing me to listen to this in exchange for an honest review. I have been kind of hit or miss with Greg Olsen but the premise for this sounded very intriguing and the cover was fantastic so I really wanted to read this and let me say I am not disappointed and in fact enjoyed this so much! I found the residents of Port Gamble to be interesting and this kind of has a cozy vibe for me.  I also really enjoyed the paranormal aspect. Twin sisters Hayley and Taylor Ryan can communicate with the dead. The blurb says that they can hear the dead but to me it is different, they seem to get flashes of things. The narrator Karen Peakes was really great, she did a fantastic job of sounding like a teen girl one moment and an adult another.
