The Man Who Didn't Burn by Ian Moore

4 out of 5 stars This book had it all ntrigue, mystery, murder all wrapped up in an eloquently well written novel. From the very first line  “He knew he was dying.” I was in.  The clues were so intriguing  and the mystery was riveting. Juge d’Instruction Matthieu Lombard is an amazing character and I can't wait for the next novel in this new series. Pick it up, you will not be disappointed.

Manga Classics Jane Eyre Manga Classics

5 out of 5 stars This is one of my favorite classics and reading this version was an absolute joy. This was my first foray into Manga classics and I want to read more. This was such a lovely read and the artwork was just so beautiful. Each turn of the page I found myself more enraptured.

None of this is True by Lisa Jewell

4 1/2 out of 5 stars This was one of the most interesting Lisa Jewell books that I have read in a while. I really loved the podcast element and the "Single White Female" vibe from this. The idea of birthday twins was fun because I know we have all met a birthday twin and one point in our lives. The novel goes back and forth between Josie and Alix's narratives which reads incredibly unique for each woman. I will say that this felt like Jewell was leaving things slightly open for a sequel...

What the Neighbors Saw by Melissa Adelman

4 1/2 out of 5 stars Sam and Alexis have been looking for a house that will be perfect for their growing family as Alexis is pregnant with their second child. When they come across a fixer upper in a very exclusive neighborhood it seems too good to be true and of course it is. Shortly after the couple show up one of their neighbours turns up dead. As Alexis begins to try and find out what happens she uncovers many secrets upon the people in the neighborhood. There is also the issue that Sam is acting very strange. A good mystery that will hold your attention. I suggest you read it!

The Starling House by Alix E. Harrow

5 out of 5 stars This is an absolutely beautiful gothic/fairytale/horror novel. I loved Opal who is living in a motel with her asthmatic teenage brother who is struggling to take care of him and give him the best future that she can. Opal has this overwhelming attachment to Starling House. She finds herself drawn to the house as if it were calling her name. When she meets the young and mysterious owner of the house and he offers her a job cleaning the house her life is change forever. This is a lovely haunted house novel with much more than you would ever expect.

After the Forest by Kell Woods

5 out of 5 stars  Thank you to Macmillan Audio and Netgalley for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review. I have been a fan of fairytale retellings ever since I picked Beauty by Robin McKinley and fell in love. When I saw "After the Forest" on netgalley I knew that I had to read it! I am so glad that I was able to. This is a beautiful retelling of Hansel and Gretel with a blend of Snow White and Rose Red thrown in as well.. What happened after they escaped the nightmare of the terrible witch and gingerbread cottage? Let's just say that things were not smooth sailing. A blend of a beautiful romance, a great villain and some adventure thrown in, this was everything I was hoping for!

The Deadlands: Trapped by Skye Melki-Wegner

5 out of 5 stars Thank you to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for allowing me to listen to this in exchange for an honest review. Why are more people not talking about this amazing series? I have been obsessed with dinosaurs since I was a kid so when the first book in this series was available to read on Netgalley I jumped at the chance! Imagine how happy I was when I got to the end of the book and read that there is another book coming out in the fourth quarter!  I am loving this series so much. I adore Ellery and the gang, they are so brave and the friendships between them are amazing. What I love about this is that there are amazing relationships, exciting action and political intrigue. This and the first in the series will be in my top 10 books of this year! If any of the things I mentioned in this review interests you please pick this up. I truly believe that you will love this.
