~*Girls Weekend by Jody Gehrman*~

4.5 out of 5 stars The last thing June wants to do is spend a weekend at her college nemesis Sadie's gorgeous home in the San Juan Islands she doesn't have much of a choice after her boyfriend dumps her in a text her best friend talks her into going. After all Em points out that getting away from home too see all of your best college friends should be a good way to heal. Things do not go well  when they all wake up not being able to remember anything and even worse there is blood splattered on the wall and Sadie is missing. I really enjoyed this and would really like to read more books featuring June. I really believe a series featuring June would be so fun! If you want a modern day Agatha Christie then this is a book for you!

5 out of 5 stars Thank you to Netgalley and  Mysterious Press for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review. This one will be a bit hard for me to go into a more in depth review as I don't want to give away spoilers. Let me just start by saying that this is the best novel I have ever read about Dissociative Identity Disorder. The depiction felt far more real than other novels I have read. I have to say that I found myself caring for each of the personalities living inside of Carolyn Grand. I really had a soft spot for homemaker/Mom Martha and artistic Serena. Yes, there is a mystery involved but in reality this book was much more about a day in the life of these personalities.  If you are looking for something that will may make you cry, will hold your interest and even give you some hope then I would pick this up.

5 out of 5 stars Thank you to  Harper Paperbacks and Netgalley for allowing me to read this novel in exchange for an honest review. When Ally arrives at work without her purse and wet from the rain her boss is shocked to see her. Why? She hasn't worked there in ages. After Ally goes to the hospital she is told that she is experiencing a dissociative fugue state. Now she must work to figure out what is causing this and what her triggers are. As she begins to search for her missing she finds out that she has been missing for two days and when she asks her husband why he didn't tell the doctors when he went to pick her up his excuse seems a bit odd to her. Will Ally be able to solve the mystery behind what is going on with her before it is too late?  Pick up this fun thriller! It is a great way to spend a day or two!

4 out of 5 stars Thank you to Netgalley and Ballantine Books books for allowing me to read this novel for an honest review. Astrid, a recovering alcoholic has moved home to live with her Mother in her small village.  She is trying desperately to leave her past behind but it won't be that easy. Astrid thinks someone is following her, at first she thinks that maybe she is imaging it. Just maybe it is her imagination but then she swears that she sees her ex boyfriend's shirt in a consignment shop and she starts getting threatening letters. Astrid keeps it to herself at first because she doesn't want to upset her Mother and doesn't want to risk messing up her new relationship. This was a very well written novel with a likable character that you really want to root for.

When Marin's son Sebastian gets abducted at Christmas time by someone in a Santa suit her whole life understandably falls apart. After her son has been missing for over a year and there is still no news of what could have happened to him Marin feels like almost all hope is lost. There is however one hope for her and that would be the PI she hired to find her son. She never told her husband Derek when she first hired her and now that they have been drifting apart she just never thought to mention it to him. Then Marin's life changes as she gets a message that the PI wants to see her and she is glad she never told Derek.  You see, Derek has been having an affair with the much younger Kenzie Li, a barista on her way to instafame.  Marin is so  angry she can't even think straight and she wants revenge on the woman she sees as taking away...

4 out of 5 stars Thank you to Netgalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the digital ARC I received in exchange for an honest review. Madeleine  d'Leon  is a successful cozy mystery writer. Her Veronica Killwilly series is sch a hit she is in talks about turning it into a television series.  She is bored with it though so she sets out to start a ew mystery. The more she writes about Edward McGinnity the more real he becomes to her, in fact he begins to take on a life of his own. I really enjoyed this novel and thought it would be a five star novel until the end. Now, just because I found the ending to be lacking the amount of satisfaction I was looking for I do believe that many will enjoy the whole book  and will love the ending. It just wasn't my cup of tea, This is sooooooo worth a read! This is not just a mystery but a bit of love story as well.

4.5 out of 5 stars I want to thank Netgalley and St.Martins Press for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. When I requested this book I didn't realize it was part of a series but it didn't affect the story for me at all.  It was easy to get to know the characters and before I was done I felt like I had known them forever!  In 1952 the first victim was found in a dress she didn't own, in full make up but without shoes and her purse. The second victim appeared in 1972 and now the latest has been found. When Russ Van Alstyne is called to the body of a woman with the same MO in modern day he knows he must work fast as he was accused of the murder of the young woman back in 1972 when he was a young Vietnam vet. With the help of Clare Fergusson and his police department he sets out to solve a crime that may be his most personal to date. I will be picking up the first books in the series because the writing is cinematic, I co...
