Close Your Eyes and Count to Ten by Lisa Unger

5 out of 5 stars Thank you to Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I love a good Lisa Unger book and this was definitely good. I was thrilled to see this on Netgalley.  Single Mom Adele has been struggling to raise her sone and daughter alone ever since her now ex husband Miller abandoned her and the kids. That is until her son finds out that  extreme show creator is  Macerick Dillan is doing another one of his extreme hide and seek games and he suggests that she on ahead and applies since she has made her self a fitness influencer. Though Adele is not sure she really can't turn down the million dollar prize if she wins. Things are not as they seem on the island and she and the other contestants are in danger.

I Am Not Jessica Chen by Ann Liang

4 out of 5 stars Thank you to netgalley for allowing me to listen to an ARC of this in exchange for an honest review. Imagine you have a cousin who is perfect in every way. Now Lets imagine that she gets into the Ivy League school that you also applied to but did not in. Let then try and imagine that the boy you love is in love with her. So on one magical night you make a wish to be her. How do you think that turns out? Let me tell you...not great. This was a good YA novel.

That Last Hamilton by Jenn Bregman

5 stars  Thank you to netgalley for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.  A quick, fun and twisty read with an historic edge. I loved the idea of a secret  society that was started  by Alexander Hamilton. This would be a fun series and I really hope it happens.

Good Bad Mother by Anya Mora

4 out of 5 stars I'd like to thank netgalley and Bookouture for providing me with the ARC for Good Bad Mother by Anya Mora. Told in different timelines,  Amelia a new Mother is having a rough time.  She hardly ever gets to see her husband who is always working as a cop. His Mother is breathing down her neck and she feels like she can never do anything right. The gaslighting that she receives is disgusting and I have not had a character that I hate as much as him in a long time. This is a thrilling novel.

Nothing Ever Happens Here by Seraphina Nova Glass

4 1/2 out of 5 stars This is told in three different POVs, Shelby, Mack, and Florence. In a quiet town where "Nothing ever happens" something actually does happen. I loved the senior citizen voices. I loved the fact that they had a podcast. I would totally read another book if this were to become a series. I am really enjoying reading books that have fun and entertaining older characters.
